The moments preceding departure are always the most difficult. Leaving behind one’s routine is something one can often dream of, but it takes on quite different proportions when one is actually leaving this routine for an indefinite time. Let’s cast off and set sail, great adventures await us …! Um, yes, but right now our heart feels tight, our stomach aches and we are clearly wondering what on earth we are getting into! But once you throw yourself into the adventure, the magic begins. Travel is a magician muse, source of inspiration, creation and meditation. It has the ability to mold us to the shape the world, to make us melt into it. It grounds us again by absorbing us intimately in the depths of the lived moment, which feels at once so far from our self and at the same time as much within our self.
