THE BIKERS IN ALOO BABA PUSHKAR MOTO DAY !

Around Pushkar, the holy city of Hindu religion, lives a rather singular Guru: Aloo Baba. In other words, the Guru (Baba) of the potato (aloo), because he has made the tuber his daily diet for the last twenty-five years! Intrigued by this character, we rented scooters with the best dream team: Johanna, Jean, Juanpi and Ben to convert us into spiritual biker for a day. The meeting with Aloo Baba in his small ashram of the Rajasthani countryside was very moving, he greeted us with a sweet smile and kind eyes. Because we arrived early we had the chance to share long moments alone with him and listen to his sweet words that touched the hearts of all of us. Aloo Baba only eats potatoes so that he does not have to worry about food anymore. He says that it allows him not to disturb his meditations and not to disturb his mind. We had a long chat and then, when we left, we greeted him by touching his feet and presenting our head so that he could touch it to make the energy flows and give us a blessing. So we left blessed and protected by the tenderness of this sweet Baba, what an incredible chance!
We went back to our scooters and spent the day witnessing beautiful pastoral scenes of the Rajasthani countryside, women in sari in the fields, or carrying bundles of wood on their heads, men with incredible turbans walking around their goats in the middle of the road. Camels, cows and small villages where our procession of two wheels caused a sensation. But not as much as Nacho’s little improvised shows during the breaks we were doing in the villages, he and his magic ball attracted up to sometimes twenty people!
With the falling day we reached the desert to admire the sunset and watch this warm energy going and leting the freshness of the night etching the memories of this beautiful day in our memory.
